Interesting Experience
We booked tickets through a promotion that Ticketmaster was offering of $51/ea at Briar Street Theatre in Chicago; standard ticket prices are $69-$89/ea. Waiting for the theatre to open for seating was interesting, they have a small lobby area, offering beverages available for purchase. At times, the show itself was entertaining, somewhat odd, and at other times just plain weird. It does get cramped in the lobby area before attendees are allowed in the theatre. We enjoyed our time, as did our 9 year old, but our 17 year old said it was the most random thing he had ever seen. I'm happy that we went at the discounted price and not the full $89/ticket price. We took a shared ride to the theatre, so I cannot speak to parking. Discounted seats in the balcony area do have an obstructed view with a railing and you might miss items happening stage left or right. Overall a unique experience, but we won't need to go again. We chose seats in the main center, but main left or main right would have been equally good.
